Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support learners in our youth hub to grow their confidence with learning, providing guidance and mentorship for the young person.

You will provide one-on-one and group support in person, encouraging learners to engage with their school work in a relevant and meaningful way. You will help learners to develop the confidence and skills to liaise with school and teachers in a positive manner. You will also provide advice on how to use digital services and platforms safely and with confidence – these include email, MS office, Google Docs, and other relevant packages.

We require all volunteers to apply for an Access NI certificate, we will help arrange and facilitate the check via a third party.

We require all volunteers to have access to their own phone. We also require the following skills:

– Good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to young people

– A patient manner and an ability to support learners in a compassionate way

– An understanding of basic internet technology, i.e. how to connect to WiFi

– To be reliable and dependable for their shifts

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with Youth to support their learning
  • Be a good listener
  • Be able to signpost youth to other services where relevant

Volunteer Product Designer

As a volunteer Product Designer you will work closely with both the Volunteer Supervisor and the Executive Director to create products for sale on our website, utilizing current trends and markets.

This role can be in person or volunteers may work remotely.

This role is ideal for someone with a creative mind that enjoys the challenges associated with start up social enterprises. Whether you are retired or still in full time education (as long as you are over 16) we would love to hear from you!

We require all volunteers to apply for an Access NI certificate, we will help arrange and facilitate the check via a third party.

We require all volunteers to have access to their own phone. We also require the following skills for this role:

– Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work off your own initiative

– Able to use relevant platforms, including Canva and others

– Attention to detail

– Reliable and able to work to deadlines

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Create digital designs for products
  • Develop relationships with suppliers
